This is a sophisticated version of cabernet sauvignon from the coastal Maipo area, where Ventisquero has vineyards as well as its main winemaking facility. The aromas and flavors correspond to what you might expect from the area—the soft and very elegant tannins that are almost imperceptible in the middle of a layer of flavors of red fruit ripened to perfection. It also has slight mentholated touches in a wine that has complexity, but most of all, is a pleasure to drink.
