Note de dégustation
Un fabuleux riesling de niveau Grand Cru du domaine Hermannsberg : le vin fait son apparition dans le verre avec une robe jaune ensoleillée rayonnante. Son bouquet séduit avec des arômes de fruit à noyau et d’amande, ainsi qu’une minéralité saline. En bouche, son style juteux et sa minéralité élégante allument un feu d’artifice majestueux d’impressions savoureuses qui perdurent jusqu’à la longue finale. Un grand vin blanc comme celui-ci, qui peut bien attendre encore cinq ans avant d’être dégusté, est définitivement une excellente recommandation pour une cave bien garnie.

A mineral giant with a ton of smoke, wild herb and bergamot complexity. Enormous concentration and energy with racy and extremely stony acidity. And the sweet fruit complements this beautifully at the very long and complete finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification.

The 2021 Riesling Traiser Bastei Grosses Gewächs is from pure porphyry, an exceptional little site in front of a massive rockface, so very warm but with viticulture aligned to the heat of the site. The wine is released two years after harvest. The nose is shy, shimmering with a touch of grapefruit and distant passion fruit. The palate immediately has a textured zestiness. There is a substance in this slenderness and a vivid yet calm sense of purest lemon. There is a real sense of yellow grapefruit and lemon with a pithier sense of citrus zest. From a warm site but a completely different vintage, this does not seem very different. Lovely.

Coolish, piquant and spicy on the pleasantly clear yet reductive, fresh, stony nose, the 2022 Traisen Bastei GG is elegant and surprisingly delicate on the palate yet powerful, intense and very spicy, yet it's still quite astringent and less stimulating on the finish. Give it time! Tasted at the Vorpremiere VDP.Grosses Gewächs in Wiesbaden in August 2024. This 2022 is only now being released.
